About your course
We look forward to welcoming you to Fife College's brand new Carnegie Conference Centre, within Dunfermline Learning Campus, when you develop your skills as an ISO 14001 Internal Auditor.
This is a two-day programme, each day beginning at 9.30 am, and closing by 5.00 pm. There are two 15-minute refreshment breaks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), and at 12:30, a 45-minute lunch break.
For the benefit of all participants, all mobile devices must be switched off when in the training suite. Free Wi-Fi is available during break times.
Please note that attendance at all sessions is a requirement of the course. There is no final, formal exam. Instead, you will be assessed during a series of relatively stress-free, practical and written exercises throughout the course.
Successful candidates will be awarded a digital Certificate of Achievement from the Scottish Quality Management Centre. Assuming your company has already paid your course fees, this will be accessible within 7 days after completing the course. It's easy to print, upload to your LinkedIn page, etc.
Additionally, attending this course is worth 14 CPD points from the Chartered Quality Institute.
Going Digital (No Printed Notes)
We’ve moved our learning materials online. SQMC is now a 95% paper-less organisation — part of our commitment to reducing waste, supporting environmental sustainability, and aligning with ISO 14001.
Why this is better for you:
- No heavy folders to carry — and no outdated printed notes floating around the office.
- Materials are searchable, zoomable, and easy to revisit whenever you need them — even on your mobile phone.
What to Bring
To access your digital materials during the course, please bring either a:
- Laptop (preferred), or a
- Tablet (perfectly fine if you don’t have a laptop)
If you don’t have either, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll provide a tablet for you to use during the training.

About the venue
Located just off Junction 3 of the M90 in the suburb of Duloch (click here to view on Google Maps), SQMC's national training HQ at Carnegie Conference Centre has a large, free car park. It's also just a short walk from both a Marstons Inn and Premier Inn, for those requiring overnight accommodation.

Please note! Sat Nav users should enter KY11 8WH as the destination postcode, and access via the Fife College entrance, off Calaiswood Crescent.
Dining
We provide a two-course, hot buffet lunch in the restaurant. It’s your ‘main meal’ of the day, so if you’re staying overnight, you won’t have to splash out at dinnertime!
If you have any food allergies, we probably already know about this. If you’d like to make sure, please call our training department as soon as possible on 0333 939 0045.
