Join an ISO 45001 Internal Auditor course on the Dunfermline Learning Campus.

Updated: Jan 20, 2026.

About your course

We look forward to welcoming you to Fife College's brand new Carnegie Conference & Events Centre, within Dunfermline Learning Campus, when you develop your skills as an ISO 45001 Internal Auditor.

You may be shocked to learn that 2.78 million workers die each year from work-related injuries and illnesses, worldwide. ISO 45001, the world's first global standard for occupational health and safety management, is not about compliance—it's about creating a culture of safety that can prevent accidents before they happen. By adopting ISO 45001, your organisation not only safeguards its most valuable asset—its people—but also enhances its reputation, boosts employee morale, and drives operational efficiency.

This two-day programme begins each day at 9.00 am, and closes by 5.00 pm. There are two 15-minute refreshment breaks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), and at 12:30, a 45-minute lunch break.

For the benefit of all participants, all mobile devices must be switched off when in the training suite. Free Wi-Fi is available during break times.

Please note that attendance at all sessions is a requirement of the course. There is no final, formal exam. Instead, you will be assessed during a series of relatively stress-free, practical and written exercises throughout the course.

Successful candidates will be awarded a digital Certificate of Achievement from the Scottish Quality Management Centre. This will be sent electronically – normally within 14 days after you complete the course – and is easy to print, upload to your LinkedIn page, etc.

Going Digital (No Printed Notes)

We’ve moved our learning materials online. SQMC is now a 95% paper-less organisation — part of our commitment to reducing waste, supporting environmental sustainability, and aligning with ISO 14001.

Why this is better for you:

  • No heavy folders to carry — and no outdated printed notes floating around the office.

  • Materials are searchable, zoomable, and easy to revisit whenever you need them — even on your mobile phone.

What to Bring

To access your digital materials during the course, please bring either a:

  • Laptop (preferred), or a

  • Tablet (perfectly fine if you don’t have a laptop)

If you don’t have either, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll provide a tablet for you to use during the training.
