Glasgow, October 2023 - Scotland’s leading voice in Quality Management training, SQMC (the Scottish Quality Management Centre), is thrilled to announce its presence at the Scottish Manufacturing and Supply Chain conference and exhibition. As pioneers in the realm of Quality Management education, SQMC holds a special place in Scotland's academic and business history. Originating as a department within the University of Stirling's Management Sciences faculty, SQMC was the first training institution in Scotland to introduce the prestigious 'ISO 9001 Lead Auditor' course, in 1992.
This flagship course, spanning five intensive days, is internationally accredited by both the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA). Designed for advanced learners, it has become synonymous with excellence and rigour in the field of Quality Management.

SQMC's legacy traces back to a time when Quality Management was gaining momentum. Recognising the imminent need and potential, the concept of a national Quality Management learning centre was developed in 1989, introducing their groundbreaking syllabus at the University of Stirling, shorlty after. By 1993, SQMC was awared Centre of Excellence status by the Insitute of Quality Management (since rebranded as the Chartered Quality Institute). Today, decades later, SQMC continues to lead, innovate, and inspire a growing audience, worldwide.
