CE Marking for Structural Steel and EN 1090 Certification

Welding and fabrication companies interested in achieving Registration to the EN 1090 Standard are welcome to an introductory awareness seminar on 19th September 2014 between 9:30am and 12 noon at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline, Fife.

SQMC, in conjunction with Manchester-based UKAS-approved Certification Body, Centre for Assessment, are hosting the event that will give, for example, an overview of CE marking requirements for different sectors, steps to take towards compliance, and how to achieve EN 1090 Certification.

EN 1090 will help companies prepare for the new EU Construction Directive requiring all materials used in construction to be CE marked.

Places on the seminar are £35 + VAT per person, and booking forms can be requested by calling Lynn or Ann on 0845 166 8098.
