Join your ISO 9001 Awareness course at the Atholl Hotel, Aberdeen.

About your course

We look forward to welcoming you to our training suite within the Atholl Hotel, King's Gate, Aberdeen, when you join us to gain or improve your understanding of Quality Management Systems on your ISO 9001 Foundation course.

This is a single-day programme, beginning at 9.00 am, and closing at 5.00 pm. There are two 15-minute refreshment breaks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), and at 12:30, a 45-minute lunch break.

For the benefit of all participants, all mobile devices must be switched off when in the training suite. Free Wi-Fi is available during break times.

Please note that attendance at all sessions is a requirement of the course. There is no final, formal exam. Instead, you will be assessed during a series of relatively stress-free, practical, and written exercises throughout the course.

Successful participants will be awarded with a certificate of completion issued by the Scottish Quality Management Centre. This will be posted to the correspondence address given at the time of booking – normally within 14 days of completion. If you’d like to order a duplicate certificate for your own personal files, you can still purchase one, for £15 + vat.

About the venue

With free parking on-site for SQMC delegates, the Atholl Hotel can be found at 54 King's Gate, in a peaceful area that is easily accessible to Aberdeen's many attractions, parks, and beaches. Overnight accommodation is reasonably-priced, for those requiring it during their training. On arrival, please report to Reception, to be directed to SQMC’s training room for your course.

Sat Nav users should enter AB15 4YN as the destination postcode. You can view the hotel's location and detailed directions at this Google Maps link.

Dining

We provide a two-course sit-down lunch in the restaurant, and you may be asked to place your order from the menu at the morning break, to avoid a wait at lunchtime. It’s your ‘main meal’ of the day, so if you’re staying overnight, you won’t have to splash out at dinnertime!

If you have any food allergies, we probably already know about this. If you’d like to make sure, please call our training department as soon as possible on 0333 939 0045.

Dress code

Casual or business casual.

Pre-course reading.

As preparation for your training, please take 10 minutes out of your day to read our short article: "A Short Overview of Quality".
