Internal Auditor - TS 16949:2002

Goal of the Technical Specification ISO/TS 16949:2002

The goal of this Technical Specification is the development of a QMS (Quality Management System) that provides for continual improvement, emphasising defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.

This Technical Specification, coupled with applicable customer-specific requirements, defines fundamental QMS requirements and is intended to avoid multiple certification audits and provide a common approach to a QMS for automotive production, and relevant service part organisations.

SQMC developed a 2-day Internal Auditors course several years ago, based on the TS, and had it approved by IRCA. It was designed according to IRCA Spec'n: 2180, and it has proved popular with several companies supplying the car & defence markets.

Internal Auditor - SQMS

SQMS - an Overview of this Excellent Set of Standards for Training Organisations:

The Scottish Quality Management System is based on ten standards covering various areas relating to education and training provision. Although SQMS is set out in the manual as ten separate standards they are all inter-related with quality at the heart of the process. If you are a training or educational organisation, SQMS allows you to consider your education and training facilities in a structured way and give each set of criteria individual attention. It will help you expose any flaws in your procedures and can also help you develop and improve all aspects of the education and training you offer.

SQMC (no connection with SQM S! ) developed a 2-day Internal Auditors course several years ago based on the SQMS and had it approved by IRCA, since it was designed according to IRCA Spec'n: 2180. It has proved popular with several Colleges - usually to complement their progress in achieving ISO 9001 certification, and/or IIP approval.
